Energy Datasets
Voltage, current, power, watt-hours, storage change, recovery and efficiency measurements.
SO-EMS Research →DOWNLOADS — DATASETS
Sustainable Oasis datasets will provide structured experimental and field data from energy, water, food, infrastructure and integrated Oasis systems.
A dataset is useful only when its origin, units, measurement conditions and evidence status remain understandable.
We will publish data files here only when the underlying observations are sufficiently documented to be useful.
DATA PIPELINE
The dataset is the preserved record of what the experiment or field system actually produced.
CURRENT STATUS
Sustainable Oasis is building the research, measurement and documentation architecture required to publish useful datasets.
Until datasets are ready, the current source material remains in Research, Living Labs, Control Room and the Knowledge Base.
DATASET LIBRARY
These categories define how Sustainable Oasis will organize future measurement files.
Voltage, current, power, watt-hours, storage change, recovery and efficiency measurements.
SO-EMS Research →Volume, flow, pressure, storage level, pumping energy, recovery and reuse.
Water Lab →Harvest, growing area, water consumption, energy use, productivity and growing duration.
Food Lab →Sensor observations, actuator states, alarms, decisions and verification records.
Automation Lab →Inspections, maintenance, equipment condition, service history and readiness.
Infrastructure Control →Site observations, environmental context, field-test measurements and project comparisons.
Field Tests →DATA STATUS
Example values used only to explain interfaces or workflows.
DEMOValues produced from assumptions or planning models.
ESTIMATEDValues recorded from physical systems using documented methods.
MEASUREDCalculations created from documented source measurements.
DERIVEDRAW DATA
Processed charts and summaries are useful, but they should not replace the original observations whenever raw data can be preserved.
Future Sustainable Oasis datasets should retain enough information to trace derived results back to their source measurements.
STANDARD UNITS
Sustainable Oasis should prefer clearly documented units and preserve conversions rather than silently changing them.
Watt-hours and kilowatt-hours for energy measurements.
Watts for instantaneous electrical power.
Litres and cubic metres for water volume.
Litres per minute where appropriate.
Kilograms for usable food output.
Square metres for productive growing area.
SO-EMS DATA
The Sustainable Oasis Energy Management System provides a dedicated measurement architecture for energy experiments.
SO-EMS M01 focuses on voltage, current, power and watt-hour measurement before more complex energy experiments are introduced.
FUTURE ENERGY DATASET
A well-documented energy dataset should preserve both direction and system boundary.
Measure energy entering the defined experimental boundary.
Preserve changes in stored energy during the experiment.
Record the energy delivered to the defined useful load.
Account for conversion, wiring and other losses.
ENERGY CONSERVATION
Sustainable Oasis energy research uses:
ENERGY IN = USEFUL OUTPUT + STORAGE CHANGE + LOSSES
Recovered energy remains part of the same system balance.
Recovery reduces waste. It does not create energy.
FUTURE WATER DATASET
Water datasets can connect collection, storage, flow, pumping and reuse.
FUTURE FOOD DATASET
Food datasets should preserve the crop, growing area, duration and resources behind the harvest.
Derived metrics such as kilograms per square metre or litres per kilogram should remain connected to their source measurements.
AUTOMATION DATA
FIELD DATA
Future field datasets should preserve enough context to understand where and under what conditions measurements were taken.
Identify the project or physical test environment.
Preserve when the observations occurred.
Record relevant environmental or operating conditions.
Identify the system and instruments being used.
Preserve anomalies and observations that numbers alone cannot explain.
PROJECT DATA SOURCES
Prototype measurements, instrument tests and controlled experiments.
Garage Lab →Future modular infrastructure, energy and equipment data.
Container Workshop →Future water, terrain, food and renewable-system field data.
Vietnam Oasis →Future vehicle, energy and mobile-infrastructure data.
Mobile Oasis →Future cross-system datasets connecting energy, water, food and infrastructure.
Complete Oasis →FUTURE FILE FORMATS
Human-readable tables for spreadsheet and analysis workflows.
PLANNEDStructured machine-readable data for web and software integration.
PLANNEDCurated tables for practical review and analysis.
PLANNEDDocumentation describing fields, units and methodology.
PLANNEDDATA PACKAGE STANDARD
Future Sustainable Oasis dataset packages should ideally contain both the data and documentation describing how it was created.
DATA QUALITY
Understand instrument accuracy before interpreting small differences.
Use appropriate comparison conditions where experiments require them.
Repeat tests when a result needs stronger confidence.
Preserve missing values, anomalies and sensor failures.
Keep the conditions needed to interpret the measurement.
FAILED + INCONCLUSIVE DATA
Failed and inconclusive experiments can prevent future builders from repeating the same mistake.
Sustainable Oasis should preserve scientifically useful negative results when the underlying measurements remain valid.
DATA + PRIVACY
Public datasets should focus on system performance and research evidence without unnecessarily exposing personal, customer or sensitive information.
Dataset publication should therefore include a privacy review before files are released.
DATA + SAFETY
Electrical systems, batteries, potable water, pressure, structural systems and moving machinery may require appropriate expertise and safeguards.
Dataset users should refer to the corresponding methodology, system documentation and safety information before attempting physical reproduction.
DATASETS + CONTROL ROOM
The Sustainable Oasis Control Room can summarize resource information for operational use.
Dataset packages provide the deeper record behind future analysis, research and reports.
DATASETS + KNOWLEDGE
Measurements become useful when they help answer questions, improve systems and preserve lessons.
Sustainable Oasis converts evidence into results, reports, guides, blueprints and future education.
MASTER DATA PIPELINE
DATASET PRINCIPLES
Preserve where every important measurement came from.
Keep demonstration, estimated and measured data distinct.
Use consistent fields and clearly documented units.
Preserve enough methodology to understand how the data was produced.
Preserve missing values, failures and uncertainty.
